The WestMont team has spent their careers working for small to global leaders in oil and gas production providing complete marketing solutions for achieving the highest value from the well-head to end-use markets. Most recently, the team was marketing over 3% of total U.S. gas production (2.5 Bcf/D). Westmont’s experience managing drilling programs, production forecasts, midstream pipelines, processing and fractionation, and firm transportation portfolio’s makes them the ideal partner to maximize asset value.
Meet the Team
Whitney Ward
Whitney is a founder of WestMont Energy and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, and over the last eight years, Whitney has spearheaded and transformed the marketing efforts for producers serving as Vice President of Marketing. She is experienced in each facet of the oil and gas marketing business and will offer personalization to a market that is underserved.
Whitney credits her success to the relationships she has built in the industry over the last 15 years. Nurturing this approach to business has provided the producers she has served a portfolio rich with a diverse client base.
Whitney earned a B.S in Corporate Communications from The University of Texas at Austin.

Alex Metzel
Alex is a founder of WestMont Energy and serves as its President. He concentrates on WestMont’s business development, commercial, and downstream efforts.
Prior to founding WestMont, Alex served in various midstream, marketing, and trading capacities for small to large E&P producers. Most recently, he led the trading & transportation efforts for one of the largest natural gas producers in the U.S.
Alex earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Oklahoma State University.
